Hundreds of 'bulls' roared through the town of Tultepec on Friday, marking the annual National Pyrotechnic Festival.
Festivalgoers celebrated the festival, held for San John of God, the patron saint of fireworks makers, by setting off a rip-roaring display. Bull-shaped contraptions, called toritos, were pulled through the streets as fireworks jetted off them.
"I follow my roots, my traditions and the example is there in my two bulls that [were made] thanks to me, my friends, wife and relatives who support me," said pyrotechnic artist Juan Alberto Cervantes.
Tultepec is a small town whose economy is known for its focus on pyrotechnics production.
